Sir George Seymour College Ltd has been selected as one of the few travel and tourism course providers to be a part of the Youth Guarantee Scheme for 2012. This scheme is aimed at 16 & 17 year olds that are thinking of leaving school to gain tertiary level skills that will assist with gaining employment.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
- Applicants must be 16 or 17 years of age.
- Must be a New Zealand Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Applicants must be new to tertiary education and willing to study in Auckland, Hamilton or Wellington.

The Certificate in Travel, Tourism & Business that we are offering ‘fee free’, is a 25 week comprehensive qualification in Auckland, Hamilton or Wellington that includes three NZQA National Certificates. This course will prepare you for a wide range of customer service roles in tourism businesses such as hotels, airports, tourist attractions, travel agencies and much, much more!

Please note that as the course fees are free, students will not be eligible for student loans including living costs. Students are able to apply for a Student Allowance if they meet the eligibility requirements for the ‘Independent Youth’ or ‘Independent Circumstances’ benefits. Apply direct to StudyLink for these. Student loans will be available for any additional courses the student may wish to enrol in after the 25 week Certificate in Travel, Tourism & Business. Any additional costs required are at the student’s own cost (E.G transportation, textbooks, corporate clothing etc.). Details of these costs are available from your local Sales Executive.
