  2. Our tutoring team have extensive industry experience and will happily provide free, no obligation career advice and answer all of your questions. You can hear what the jobs in the Airline, Travel & Tourism industry are really like, and what skills and attributes the industry are looking for in new staff. We can help recommend a course that best suits your needs, ensuring you are making the right decision for you.
  3. We have courses starting throughout the year and can provide you with all of the relevant information on loans and allowances and even help you get started with this application process. We can also recommend accommodation options if you are from out of town and need assistance.

  5. If you are keen to get started now, you will need to do the following.

Sir George Seymour Enrolment Procedures

  • Please ensure you include the following when sending in your enrolment:

           - 2x passport sized photographs of yourself

           - Deposit of $290.00

           - Verification of NZ Citizenship or permanent residence eg. A verified copy of your Passport or Birth Certificate

  • Once your enrolment has been recieved, the Sales Executive from the campus will contact you to discuss an interview time.
  • If you meet all eligibility criteria after the interview, you will be sent a letter stating the date that the campus will be reviewing all applications and confirming spaces on the courses. This date is generally between 4-6 weeks prior the the start date of the course. Once the decisions have been made, you will be informed if you have been successful in gaining a position on the course or not.

Entry Criteria

 Certificate in Travel, Tourism & Business Course

  1. Applicants must be a minimum age of 17 years on entry to the course.
  2. NCEA Level 2 (60 credits) plus NCEA Level 1 (20 credits) OR equivalent unit standards, course of study or work experience deemed equivalent.

Additional entry criteria is required for each of the following specialised courses

National Certificate in Travel Level 4, Conference & Events Planning & Tour Operations & Guiding,
Certificate in International Flight Attending courses

  1. Applicants must be a minimum age of 18 years upon completion of the course.
  2. Airlines have their own criteria when selecting flight attendants, in terms of height, health etc.
